A red wine uniting the best characteristics of the blue grape varieties from the Eger wine region, grown near a thermal spring rich in minerals of volcanic origin. Minerality is therefore evident as is red forest fruits and a spicy aroma. This well balanced, mellow, easy drinking wine is a blend that lends itself to all types of cuisines, perfectly matching a variety of flavour profiles; hot, spicy, sweet and sour. Traditionally fermented on the skin in holding vats, and bottled after 12 months of ageing in Hungarian oak barrels. Barrels are made by the vineyard with wood from the Zemplen forest. The barrels were made from split and toasted oaks, the toast level is"light" and "medium". Hungarian oak has a unique flavour it is slow growing and dense. The carefully blended Egri bikavér, famously known as Bulls Blood, possesses high quality grapes and is a unique great wine taking the opportunity of endless possibilities of blending, typical from Eger.
